A rather dull rainy afternoon produced one of the most unique art projects-Floor Art! I looked on, perplexed, as my youngest daughter started collecting odds and ends around the room and piling them in the middle of the floor. She grabbed the throw blanket from the couch, spread it out, and began taking objects from her pile and laying them out on the blanket. At first I had no idea what she was doing, but slowly a picture began to emerge...or should I say a new friend emerged-Towel Cat! I have to chuckle a little as I look at this picture because it's one of the best and most unique uses of a remote control I've ever seen. I hope Towel Cat inspires your child (and you) to try this new form of art. Create a new friend, create a whole scenic mural...there is no limit to the creations you can make with the odds and ends around your house.
